...Aannd another one...
I'm on a roll before the year is over..LOL.
I found this Youtube video below (The Beat by Allen Parr) VERY helpful and quite frankly it is straight from the "horse's mouth" if you will..LOL. We as women can save ourselves a lot of heartache and pain if we HEED THE WARNINGS and RED FLAGS. Trust me I have been there, wasted a lot of time, and NEVER want to go through this again. One of my favorite scriptures is Song of Songs 2:7 which says: "Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right." This can translate as do not give your heart away too soon. Wait on God for the right timing on a relationship/marriage. You are too precious for someone to lead you on and waste your time. We all deserve a godly man that will treat us like a Queen, cherish us, and make us feel wanted. A man that only has eyes for us.👫💕💒
I have listed out each of the key point starting marks:
#1 - 1:21 - Communication is inconsistent
#2- 1:51- Not willing to commit to a relationship
#3- 2:31- Unwilling to schedule a date in advance
#4- 3:41- No interest in talking to you or getting to know you
#5- 4:22- Hanging out with you on "Off-peak hours"
#6- 5:22- He wants to keep you a secret and unwilling to introduce you to people close to him
#7- 6:18- He says he wants to be friends but his actions show otherwise
#8- 6:52- He is unwilling to spend his money on you (it doesn't mean he has to take you to the most expensive restuarants, etc but if he is being cheap..watch for that). Ask yourself is he willing to make an investment in you/the relationship

I hoped this helped ...and may we curve all counterfeits going into 2018!

6 THINGS THAT HELPED ME AFTER GOING NATURAL
Thursday, December 28, 2017
Hi guys! 😊
As we are closing out the year I wanted to share 6 things I put into practice that helped me tremendously after going natural.
First up is knowing my Hair Porosity. When I researched on how to transition to natural I thought the main key was hair TYPE. I compared my hair to other Youtubers and would get frustrated when certain products failed on my hair. I then stumbled across finding out my hair POROSITY. This is the key (IMO) to choosing the right products for your hair. There are 3 categories- Low, Medium, and High. I fall into Low Porosity. To determine what type of porosity you have you can incorporate the float test. Take a clean strand of hair and place in a glass of water for a couple of minutes.
After a while the hair strand will float (low porosity), sink (high porosity), or float in the middle (medium porosity).

Low Porosity
1. Hair has a hard time retaining moisture
2. Low Po hair LOVES heat/deep conditioning
3. Low Po hair is protein sensitive -coconut oil is a no-no :(
Medium Porosity
1. Prone to split ends
2. Takes longer to dry
High Porosity
1. Use less heat
2. Rinse with cold water to prevent frizz
Next up is Pre-pooing before I shampoo. This softens my hair up, loosens product, and prepares it for all the rinsing and cleansing.
Third is Deep Conditioning on a regular basis (preferably weekly to every 2 weeks). Being that my Low Po tresses need constant moisture I have to keep a regular routine of deep conditioning. I try to incorporate a protein treatment once a month to every 2 months so I won't get a deep conditioning moisture overload and to keep my hair balanced. I also like to warm up my conditioner in the microwave for 12 seconds. My hair LOVES IT! My HG at the moment is TGIN Honey Miracle Mask. (←click here)
It is protein free and has honey which is a natural humectant.
Fourth is using a Leave-In conditioner on my hair before bed. One of my HG is
TGIN Green Tea and Argan Oil leave in. (←click here). For the most part, I wear a fro/puff (mainly because of my workout regimen) and at night I have to seperate, saturate with my leave-in, braid and tuck my ends. This is what I have found works for me. It makes it so much easier to style and go in the a.m.
Fifth is Trimming my ends. This is a must. Whenever you can see through your ends and they knot up/tangle easily it's time to SNIP SNIP! Don't be afraid of the scissors! They are your friend! LOL Whether you develop a routine or trim on an as needed basis your hair will thank you. There's nothing worse than see through ends! When I can't make it to the salon, I trim my own ends and make sure I purchase hair trimming shears from my local beauty supply. Be sure to only use hair trimming shears ONLY for trimming your hair and keep the blades clean.
Last but not least is taking a good Hair Vitamin. Our hair is an outward display of what we are putting in our bodies. That is why vitamins are so important. I used to take a vitamin with Zinc, Lysine, MSM, Magnesium, etc. but I had to switch because the Lysine had side effects. I am now taking a Bone health vitamin with Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin D3, and Calcium because I am sensitive to Biotin. Vitamin A, K, B6, B12, Zinc, and Horsetail are all vitamins that are beneficial for your hair and you will for sure see growth along with drinking plenty of water.
Thanks again for stopping by! Drop comments in the comment section below of your routines, vitamins, or tips on being a successful natural kinky curly girl.

A SINGLE WOMAN'S PRAYER
Monday, December 11, 2017• Faith
Hey ya'll!
I just wanted to post the below poem (ALLL the way at the bottom..lol) as a word of encouragement for single women like myself.
At times when you have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting... it gets HARD! Trying to live holy and please God. The struggle is ALL.THE.WAY.REAL! 😩
That flesh is no joke! ⇒(Galatians 5:16)

Just know God has not forgotten you or me. Our times of loneliness are times we need to fellowship with God, love on Him, and listen for direction. As bad as we want that male companionship, God wants our fellowship too. Just imagine being in a relationship/marriage with your God given "Bae" but you NEVER talk to him. You never text, call, send a smoke signal...nothing. That is how God feels when we turn ALL of our attention on other things or people.
He longs to commune with you. Be encouraged that if you have the desire for marriage God will fulfill it BUT He must come first.
❤ Matthew 6:33 ❤
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Love,
Candace

HOW GOD SOLD MY HOME / NEVER GIVE UP
Wednesday, October 11, 2017• Faith
I bought my first home 8 days before my 30th birthday (right at 8 years ago- October 2009). I decorated it to make it look like it was out of a magazine. I took pride in my home. But as time went on home upkeep set in, such as yard maintenance, air conditioning repairs, garbage disposal repairs, sink repairs, etc. For the past 4 years it became very hard for me to maintain home repairs/expenses and car repairs all by myself. I became even more frustrated as well because in the those last 4 years I tried twice to sell my house without success. Back on this past March/April I was talking to my mom upset and crying about how hard it was to maintain with house repairs constantly popping up and me still trying to remain faithful in paying my tithes. I was ready to walk away from the house and contemplated filing bankruptcy, but then I stopped myself because I know I am a person that takes pride in my credit and couldn't go through with it. My mom suggested: "Why don't you try selling your house again?" I said "No!, I already tried to sell it twice. My neighbors are going to think I'm crazy if they see a "For Sale" sign in the yard for a third time!" She then said again "Why don't you try just one more time?; I talked to your cousin and he told me to tell you, you have put too much in that house just to let it go." I told her I would think about it and got off the phone. I then sat on the edge of the bed and did the ugly cry to God. Ya'll know the ugly cry..lol. I said "God.. I'm tired of this house! I don't want it anymore!".

With tears streaming from my eyes, I then pulled up the website of the last real estate office I had worked with and filled out an online form for someone to call me back. Within the next 5 minutes my phone rang; it was an agent from the real estate office! Mind you this was late on a Sunday night so I thought no one would call me back until the next business day. The agent asked my name and who I worked with before and she got me in touch with my previous agent. We met the next day and put my house on the market yet again. I remember in one of my prayers to God telling Him that I wanted a smooth transition out of the house. I didn't even want to go through inspection. Well after 11 days of my house being on the market I had an offer! It was an amount below list price but I was happy just to be able to get out of the house and not owe anything! On 4/29/17 when I arrived to my agents' office to sign the contract, she was taking a little longer than usual. When she finally came in the conference room she placed two more stacks of paper on the table. She stated "You won't believe this. We have two more offers on your house and one of them is for an amount way ABOVE your list price!" She then called that agent back because she thought the numbers of the offer must have been transposed but the buyers agent confirmed no they were not! The agent said in fact yes her buyer was offering that certain amount ABOVE list price and they did not require an inspection OR an appraisal! My agent said in her 30 plus years of real estate she has never had a sale happen like this. After I signed the contract for the way above list price offer, my agent asked me: "By the way, has our crew come out and put a "For Sale" sign in your yard yet?" I replied and told her: "No, not yet." We both thought that was strange. My house had been on the market the whole time but no "For Sale" sign was in the yard. As I left my agent's office I stated to her that "God is good" and she said "No, God is GREAT". I smiled to myself...I was so glad that my real estate agent is a christian as well.
Fast forward to the middle of May..aka.. the 30 day waiting game. If you have ever bought/sold a house you know after the contracts are signed you have to wait for at least 30 days for the buyers loan to go through. Well at first my buyer was going to take out a conventional loan, then he changed his mind and decided to take out a loan on one of his other properties and pay cash for mine. As time was closing in I began to become worried after reading other home sellers' horror stories online and wavering in my faith. This was even AFTER I signed my offer! The enemy can really throw in doubt even AFTER you have received God's blessing. God told me to start packing but I was worrying back and forth at the same time. SMH...

I finally called my real estate agent again for an update. She then called the buyers agent. My agent called me back again and stated: "Candace, don't worry.. even if the buyers loan doesn't go through in time, he has the WHOLE amount to buy your house in his bank account already."
(INSERT SHOUT HERE!)

So in summary:
I sold my home in 11 days
I did not have to go through inspection OR get an appraisal
NO "For Sale" sign was in my yard the WHOLE time my house was on the market
My house sold for way ABOVE list price
Who wouldn't serve a God like that?
I have learned as Christians our lives will not be perfect. We will have trials and tribulations. But when I have worry, fear, or doubt, I will remind myself of this miracle (one of many) God performed just for me in His PERFECT timing. When I tried to sell my house twice before it was not God's timing. This is proof that when we wait on Him he always comes through but not when we want it. God is not a genie in a bottle and moves when HE gets ready. He hears our prayers, He sees our tears, and will not forget us (Psalms 56:8). Always remember God's word says that He is no respecter of persons and what He did for me He will do for you too (Acts 10:34). Will you believe?
Mustard seed faith counts too.

YOUR PLANS VS. GOD'S DESTINY AND PURPOSE
Saturday, March 18, 2017• Faith
When I looked up the definition of the word plan it is described as "a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something." Another definition is "an intention or decision about what one is going to do." How many of you have made your own plans and it didn't work out like you wanted? (Insert hand raise here)☝. You ended up disappointed, hurt, confused, angry at God, and depressed. Now let's take a look at the definition of the words destiny and purpose. Destiny is described as "the things that someone will experience in the future." It is also described as "a predetermined course of events considered as something beyond human power or control." Purpose is described as "the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists". One thing that I have learned is that no matter how many plans you make, if they are not a part of God's destiny and purpose for your life, those plans will cancel themselves out or delay what God really has for you. When we follow our own plans God will let us go ahead and do our thing and just when we think we have arrived,we will still feel unfulfilled and seek things and people that are not a part of God's purpose for our lives. Some people in the church associate purpose and destiny with being a pastor or evangelist. This is not always true. God could call you to the marketplace as a doctor, lawyer, baker, hairstylist, author, athlete, business owner, etc. The question is will you be still enough to hear God's voice on what He is calling you to do?

When I think of an awesome purpose and destiny chaser in the bible I am reminded of the Jewish Queen Esther. She fulfilled her purpose and destiny which was to save her people from total destruction. I used to have this fairy tale vision of orphaned Esther marrying a rich King, becoming Queen and living happily ever after. There was so much more to this story than I thought. Even though she was chosen as the new Queen out of thousands of other beautiful women, she wasn't ONLY just a pretty face. Girlfriend was a bad chick when it came to praying, fasting, and having wisdom. Originally Esther was undercover upon arriving at King Xerxes's palace. She was a Jew among the Arabs and Persians in the midst of the Persian empire. God used her in her cousin Mordecai's strife with Haman (the number two official in Persia!). Haman became angry when Mordecai would not bow to him; his pride and ego got the best of him. So Haman PLANNED and plotted to have ALL Jews killed on a certain day within the Persian empire. He convinced King Xerxes to sign an irrevocable order allowing the citizens of Persia to slaughter the Jews on a certain day and take their property. (Esther 3:1-15). When Mordecai heard about this new decree/order from the King he was devastated. So much so that he sat outside the palace walls with a sackcloth with ashes crying out. He went out in the city crying out. Soon the other Jews followed suit wailing, fasting, praying and crying out. When the news got back to Esther she had to intervene! She had no choice but to go before the King unsummoned. She had to tell the King the truth about her being a Jew and the evil plot Haman planned for her people. This was no light task because anyone that approached the King unsummoned would be put to death. Esther asked that Mordecai and the other Jews fast and pray for 3 days and 3 nights to get on one accord with her. (Esther 4: 15-16) When Esther went before the King AFTER fasting and praying, King Xerxes gave her FAVOR!!! (Somebody say Favor aint Fair!) She told the King the truth about Haman and his plan. The King then had Haman hung on the SAME gallows he prepared for Mordecai. (You know that old saying if you dig a hole for me dig one for yourself too, cause IT (the lies, the backstabbing, etc) ain't gonna prosper! Hallelujah!!!) When God has a purpose and a destiny for your life, NO plot the enemy has will prevail!
Just think if Esther became selfish and had her OWN PLAN and the attitude: "I am QUEEN now so there are other Jews in other lands that can re-populate Persia" or just sat and did nothing and enjoyed the luxurious life of being the Queen of Persia.
It is so important to pray and seek God's purpose and destiny for our lives. You never know how many souls you will impact for the Kingdom of God and how many people's lives you can help to restore all by being obedient to the call of God on your life. Generations are waiting on you.

Bible Verse of the Day
“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.” -Isaiah 53:3-4
